Just got done with my remedial math class. We had to take a pretest to determine if we needed this class or could bump up to the next one. What's funny is the placement test that put me in this class was way more difficult than the test I just took. What remains to be seen is if I did well enough on this test to move up a class. Short term that's a good thing because that's one less math class I need to take to transfer to NC State. Long term it's not good because there's a few areas I know I'm going to struggle with; its been 8 years since I've done anything more than basic math. So if I do pass this test the decision is do I stay in this class to make sure I get to where I need to be, or do I move up to the next one? I mean if I stay it's guaranteed that I'll learn what I need to. But if I move up that means that much more work I'll have to do in order to keep up, at home and with a tutor. Oh well, either way I go I think i'll be alright, just a matter of making sure I crack the books the way I need to.
