so even though ive had a really shitty couple of weeks...with horrific mothers day, chaos at work, breaking up with my boyfriend, not having a day off in a week and a half,,,ect...im finally having some luck. this week the cake decorator at work has been on vacation and ive been the fill-in for her all week. not only is the cake decorator younger than me by 3 years but she has had no schooling, has no passion, all shes does is the bare minimum and just wants to get in and get out. it drives me nuts...i have a culinary degree, have taken cake decorating classes and would die to get her job...well today i did!!! that right i am now cake decorator...my boss saw how much i kicked ass this week and how happy the customers were with my cakes and so i am now officially a cake decorator!!! my dream job is now mine!!!! and she can either close the bakery like i have been doing or she can quit! thats what you get when someone more qualified then you comes in and you dont step up your game!
