The weekend was pretty glorious. Both weddings were adorable. One was a tiny little affair with a judge officiating. The other was a lavish hitching with about 400 people attending. Perfect compliments to eachother. I saw some old friends and had a marvelous time. I managed to sneak away before things got completely out of hand, too, which is a quite a feat for me. On Sunday I made my mum dinner. Asparagus soup, watercress salad, STEAK, shrimp & pea risotto, and peach cobbler. I woke up around 6:30 AM both Saturday and Sunday. Really bizarre. But it made for spectacularly long days filled with plenty of errands. I'm really not in the mood to work today. I think I'll read a little. I finished Two Serious Ladies by Jane Bowles. Very intense and perhaps even a little creepy. My sister is going to Bolivia for 10 days and I am jealous. I hope to get out of the country in the next few months.
