So I started my new job at Barrister's Bagels in Limerick. I got hired as I suppose the head baker. I'm assuming that would be a good title since I will be opening in the mornings Monday thru Friday. After things start to run smoothly, I am under the impression that I will be getting a key and be permitted to come in and open on my own. SWEEEEET!!!!
I love the fact that this job seems to involve a good deal of responsibility. Today was our first day open and other than baking and making dough, I helped with a lot of other things as well. I worked the grill for breakfast sandwiches, helped one of the women use a deli slicer, and some front-end things. I think I am one of the few people working there that has any real food experience other than the girl who opens the front of the store.
Other than the job description itself, the potential is there to succeed. My boss is a lawyer gone bagel shop owner so he doesn't have it all figured out. I have a feeling my input is gonna be respected pretty well around there. Also the place is owned and ran by my boss(ex lawyer) and his sister, and each of their significant others will be around. So its a family business and I'm expected to be a key employee. As much as I loved working at Ozgoods, I am finally excited about work again and very ambitious.
I am so tired though, being in at 4:30 will definitely take some time.

I would hate being up that early. I just changed shifts and work 6 hours earlier than I'm used to and it's rough. I hit snooze so many times! Good luck with the job, it sounds great!
