Two weeks ago while Heather and I were giving the apartment a good cleaning, I decided to post some free shit on Graigslist. Listed were the following items...
1. A dvd player my boss gave me that didn't read discs. Listed as such and that maybe a lens cleaner would fix this right up. But its free, give it a shot.
2. A bag of sweaters that I intended to take to Goodwill months ag and never got around to it.
3. Lastly, an atrocious looking lamp that had a huge base depicting a scene of a bear and its cub climbing a tree
Alright, so there is nothing odd about all this, right? Have some shit laying around, try to get rid of it. I was only gonna throw the stuff out but decided to post it on Graigslist as well. The very first line in the posting read as follows....
"I am putting some stuff out to the trash today that will get picked up tomorrow morning. You will be able to find them outside of *************. So if you are interested just come grab the stuff, should be out there after noon."
I listed this on Sunday, March 9th. After reading as such you would easily assume that by noon on Monday the items would be gone, especially since I plainly put that I would be putting the stuff out with the TRASH.
Here's the kicker though, as of Thursday night, I was still getting email about the stuff. A good 10 days later people are still asking me about the shit.
"I'd like the dvd player if you still have it and it works good" No, I don't have it, haven't in over a week now. Plus if you COULD read you would see I disclosed the problem with the DVD player
"I'd like to come pick the stuff up tomorrow btw 4-6, OK?" No, It's not ok. I haven't had this stuff in my possession in over a week.
Or the emails I get about how much people liked the lamp. I am definitely confused by the stupidity of people. Haha.
