It has it's ups and downs. Doing whatever you want is fun sometimes but it's also kind of hollow other times. I'm in the same situation where I've been single for 3 months after my partner of five years decided she needed to find herself but part of me still holds out hope and it just feels weird being single. And even though I have probably done more stuff and met more people so far this summer than my last four summers combined, being single still sucks.
