@arroezze I've tried a lot of waxes and Bearded Bastard has a nice hold and scent while Fireman's has a hold that allows me to go swimming and emerge with an intact handlebar. Intense! The balms usually aren't too bad. I enjoyed one that was based in Dayton, Ohio, but I think they went under. Decent price, nice scent choices, and kept the beard soft while controlling hairs... I love 'em. BB has a somewhat stronger scent and it may be a little oily if you use too much or don't wash it out often, but my beard is very wavy and wicked so it gives some good control and lasting scent. Plus if I alternate with oil for most days and balm every few days or so it keeps a nice hold without becoming too greasy or stiff. I only wash my beard twice a week and give it a thorough rinsing at least once a day. The oils are really nice, though. I sometimes alternate with ones I find from pomades.com and many have a nice little feel, but none have kept my beard as soft as BB. I've tried my own and it worked great in a few different formulations but it was always a bit greasy so my beard was soft... but was almost better to oil up then take a shower a little later because the remaining oils would keep it soft and the excess washed away. I couldn't get the recipe just right to be less greasy and have to use a little more than a dab to keep my thick beard soft and nice. Zeus shampoo/conditioner smells pretty good and fresh out of the shower it feels nice and soft with a light scent. Still need to oil up after, but even if I'm out and about a bit and neglect my beard it still feels rather nice. Cleans out the product good and detangles my beard fairly well, too. That's my opinion. After 5 years of buying so many different products and making a few different oils to use and offer friends as testers I think I've found what I'll be sticking with.

I'll have to give them a peek in the near future.
