Earlier in 2018 I started some photographer appreciation posts as a way to bring to light the overdue credit for all the hard work that goes on behind the lens. Many of you may already have full awareness that the models set aside some of their hard earned vacation/holiday time to schedule a shoot as well as spend money from their regular day jobs to buy clothing, lingerie, flights, a slot of time with the photographers, and whatever else might go into creating these shoots that some of us might breeze through in mere moments. Sometimes even the best of us get so wrapped up in awe over a set we almost forget how much time and effort was put into the shoot by the photographers themselves. Many of them don't shoot photography for a living or have to supplement it with an ordinary job to keep food on their tables. Some have the luxury of shooting all day long and remaining stable, but many do not. It's a fact of life and an amazing show of dedication to an art too many write off as a breeze.
On top of finding time to schedule these shoots for Suicide Girls (as well as some for Patreon and other sites) they constantly have to invest in their equipment which may involve lighting, more memory cards, upgraded PCs, etc as well as spend hours on end selecting and editing photos in even the simplest way to present to you the best possible light on their craft. I've had friends that did plenty of "professional" photography with their own studios or within a "retail" type setting as well as some that liked having an expensive hobby so I've seen plenty of the work go into shoots from behind the scenes over the years and even assisted in some videography as well as modeling for silly little shoots for fun. I even modeled for a local fashion designer at one point during a period with a really bad knee injury so it was a bit rough to pull off some of the poses. (For the record I only have one or two shots posted somewhere on my Instagram page if you're that interested in seeing what I did) The point is, its not as cheap or as easy as it sounds. We always look to see how hot a model is or how cool the images might look, but we never really step back and take a look from behind the scenes as if we were trying to see what the photographer saw when they pressed click a hundred or so times to bring you 30 really amazing shots.
Many of you might claim I have a talent to write because I post blogs of great length so frequently, but I've always loved being behind the camera as well. Don't assume that means I am any good as I've only learned very little and have not yet had time to fully explore that artistic format. One day I would love to utilize the money I have set aside and invest in some photography equipment to give it another shot and teach myself along the way. Believe me, I would love to take it up as a hobby and (with training) even attempt to shoot for a site like this. That might mean some couch surfing to cut costs as well as doing some pro bono work as an investment in my own skills so both parties win, but that might mean a more hobo lifestyle I'm not quite ready for just yet. I'd need a better base of operations and perhaps some trusted contacts willing to put up with me for a day (or three). You may not have asked, but if you're going to read my posts then you're going to get to know me better. π
After sorting through your own suggestions ranging from @tripodski to @fromlimbo the votes closed off with @lady taking the win for the first photographer appreciation blog of 2019. Everyone from @msilveira to @bretema and @pisces to @leemalee were also in the running and deserve their own posts more than anything, but given time constraints and the length of blog space before I kill your brain I decided to choose one per post. I highly suggest my readers to tip their hats to their own chosen photographers if time might allow because I cannot do this all by myself with very limited free time! There simply isn't enough time in the day to keep up with all the sets and appreciation I have to share! I felt like a Queen when I typed that, finger snaps and all. I feel like repeating it to myself again. π
Let's take a look at the multis from 2018:
@sarelle @saturn @skella @apollo (not pictured: @romany @penny @loveless) in Murder! At SG Manor: Part 1
@sarelle @saturn @skella @apollo (not pictured: @arriane @dojikko @sierhaus) in Murder! At Sg Manor: The Conclusion
@Azazel @Saria @Marlene @Karanlit @Mandeelou @Lilymai @Nayru @Indigo @Ivylina @Nymphae in Southern Belle
I know we all love multis because they feature so many babes from different parts of the world, but they also tend to be just as creative and inspiring as they are jaw dropping lust fueled bombs of excitement. Only three multis were featured this year but with two of them SOTDs and one that is so damn close to being SOTD (it might as well be) they just needed to be featured in the "highlight reel" of visual delight. In fact, they inspired some lengthy blog pieces by yours truly. If you care to read more on these sets and the women involved I urge you to give the blogs a read. It's hard enough to concentrate and focus on one amazing woman in a set, but when you get 3, 4, or 10 rounded up into one set it becomes an insane drool fest. It's a lot like being a zombie in a locked room with delicious humans. The mind-numbing effect is all too real, but I did try to shed a little light on everyone involved even while drunk and high on lust and love.

Let's take a look at some solo highlights:
@janelane in Ray (the cutie next door)
@skella in Thot Coffee (seriously one of my biggest crushes ever)
@aurralee in 355ml (Just... speechless. ππ)
@azazel in Conte de Fees (ohhhhh that smile!)
@karanlit in Send Nudes (I am actually curious if there is a single person not madly in love with @karanlit?!)
@ivylina in Drawing Down the Moon (my dreams nor SG would ever be the same without her)
@cygnet in Electric Feel (she is very electric... oh my!)
@epyk in The Cream Rises To the Top (one of the best smiles on SG and the most distracting curves to ever put together legos... nude)
@joseebella in Loveseat Haiku
As you can tell from many of the previews above there is a very soft sensuality to all the sets she shoots. Sure, there are a few playful sets because girls will be girls when a group of them get together, but the solo sets always tend to be very romantic. Simple poses that share as much in the way of curves as they do the same visuals you might compose in your head when structuring prose to deliver to your girlfriend/wife/partner. Whenever I look through one of her sets I always feel a soft caress upon my heart. There's an elegance yet simplicity, a splash of color, maybe a couple smiles to give a dash of playful attitude to a set that feels like a gentle Spring breeze. @joseebella's set is a perfectly titled example of what @lady offers as a photographer and it's no wonder she can pull in SOTDs with... well, it is actually through a lot of time and effort, but you get the picture.
@livay in Sucos (I do love Watermelon... and @livay)
@milenci in La Fusta Entre Els Mons (it's obvious why she gets name dropped a lot in forums regarding eyes and dream date SGs)
@karanlit and @indigo in Faerie (best kiss goes to....)
@clem in Reine (one of my favorite French girls, seriously!)
@lilymai in Oiseau Bleu (@lilymai's best set, in my opinion, and one of the best sets of 2018, also my opinion)
@sarelle in Atomic Tangerine (I could pretty much profess my love to this beauty without actually meeting her in person. Don't ask. I can't explain.)
@phhoren in Sun Spots (have you visited the groups discussing lips or kissing? Yeah.... π)
@fresa in Kaonashi (you're just going to have to read some of my many posts to get the scope of my feelings on this girl π Oh, she has a new set out, by the way, that I will merely tease you with by not linking. π)
@andrealynn in Straight To My Ass (I don't know how this set is so underrated, but this girl is straight up f'n gorgeous)
@skella in Linger In My Arms A Little Longer Baby (it seemed a bold move to feature a black and white set, especially for someone as vibrant and colorful as @skella, but this set is truly amazing even if you don't favor the lack of color)
Traveling to locations across the US and even touching down on foreign soil, she's had the chance to shoot many beautiful women that most of us could only imagine ever meeting once in a lifetime. This site gives us the chance to see women of many shapes and colors from across the globe, but the best part is the community we build through connecting to these models and learning more about them behind the scenes as a model and finding out they're just like us walking on the same dirt and breathing the same air. This isn't Facebook where we "friend" someone we might know or Entertainment Weekly where we just read about famous celebrities we'll never truly meet or talk to (beyond a convention or two). This is true social media in the sense that we see plenty of featured "media" from photos to videos (and links to even more) while also being able to socialize with a group of people that are more likely suiting our interests than the everyday folk we bump into that judge us for being individuals. We have the world right here in the palm of our hands... or on a PC. The site works just fine on your phone or tablet, though. π
@birdi in Brace Yourself (one of the sweetest girls you'll ever meet)
@zelena in Mariposa Traicionera (one of the hottest girls you will ever meet)
@missfernandez in Segueix Me (Just... yes! π)
@sierhaus in When a Fire Starts To Burn (I assure you that these curves will light your fire)
@ondinae in Vellut Vermell (if I'm going to fall in love with a readhead... ππ)
@gladyce in Stay Punk (she not only has the best taste in women, but she's one of the coolest and most beautiful women I've ever talked to)
@dame in Show Your Work (I'm just going to simply say "damn!" π)
@penny in Velveteen (it is actually one of my favorite @penny sets)
Although I'm not yet finished, do you have a favorite set of Lady's? What's your favorite from 2018 and why? I'd love to know! Also, if you've worked with her in 2018 or earlier feel free to share some of the love and tell us what you love about her as a photographer.
@jacqueline in Live Wire (she is crazy beautiful and also very sweet, but even if I had not talked to her once I could spend an eternity in her presence just based on her tattoos)
@nymphae in Chi Awakens (super adorable, right?)
@lascaux in Morning Glory (amazing dancer, total knockout, and also has a lovely new set in MR)
@nayru in Heart of the Ocean (speaking of knockout... I don't even have words right now)
@eirenne in Aiguamarina (another one of the best smiles across SG)
I know I did not go full blown review mode like I do in my other posts, but I wanted to share a collection of sets created by Lady (with a few missing pieces, apologies to the models and Lady as the photographer) in hopes to spread the love and appreciation for the talent behind the camera. Maybe even inspire you to check out some of her sets that you may have missed throughout the year. I hope you don't fault me for being a little more generic in my appreciation of the photographer as a topic and yet focusing on the sets of one particular talent. To be honest, I was short on time, still a little sick, and rather unfocused. Great excuse, right? I still hope you enjoyed taking a simple retrospective journey into her work from 2018.
If you have any comments on the featured sets, the photographer, or my posts in general please feel free to share. I would love to hear your opinions or behind the scenes details if you were featured in this post. I always keep my door open so that I can provide you with the best content I can and hope that you, too, can provide some great content to the other members on the site. I would love to read your own photographer appreciation post if you care to join the love of the art/artists!
Don't forget to check out her own recent set as a model:

Also, 6 weeks until:
@kaliva in A Clean Start
and 3 months, 3 weeks until:
@kaliva in Witchy Woman
I hope to release another blog post this weekend because I already have two posts worth of sets to love and admire with all of you! Until the next time I hope all of you have a great night and remainder of your week. Spread some smiles, share some love, and let's make 2019 great. I know we've had some amazing new sets already featured in MR and saw a handful of hopefuls turn pink, but this is just the beginning! It's going to get crazy as the year moves forward.
I love you guys (and gals). I hope you stick with me despite the turmoil and depressive times many have seen already. I need you as much as you need a break from the stupidity of adult life. Believe me, I had my share of sickness, work BS (and 3 stores in my company being robbed at gunpoint not far from my home), and some other little things, but I'm going to try myself to make this year a good one. I'm going to need your love and I'm going to give you all of my love. Shoot me a message, respond to me on any of my posts, text my phone... I am right here. Unload, chat, or send me dirty messages. I don't care as long as we can find you a smile or moment of relief from this crazy world. Love. Okay? I will be here however you need me here for you.
Xander out π
