Being thankful is something we should do year round and after a follow up (in spirit) of the Thanksgiving blog homework I must throw appreciation to the SG Gods and Goddesses that piece together this community. With a combination of tech know how to create a website and social awareness to offer a safe community there's never been a better melting pot to share our cultures, talents, hearts, and magic. This blog isn't going to expand on that topic, but it's what brought us here and the origin story defines a lot of who we are and how we came to be so I thought a little expansion was a nice touch. Many thanks to @rouge for the idea, @rambo for the tag, and @missy for a pretty amazing share herself.
I can't really name just four, but here goes my best shot!
First, I want to tag "my dudes" @ropers71, @kaptaine, @kungfury, @silentobjectorx, @nickstone, @gpryme, @therustycheez, @anjave, @yogi64, and @hiptobes for being legit humans. Whenever I need someone to talk to I can always count on them. Ever the loving souls they always share respectful commentaries and full support to their friends and their family right here. Countless times they've reached out to me privately to show support and love. If you need good music, open arms, open heart, open ears, and all the love to get through a tough situation then I would easily point you the direction of any of these fine gents. It's hard to find a good guy (even as a friend) and I find myself walk away from so many in life, but I've found solid friendship and true brotherhood with these guys. You've all gifted me an amazing year (and @nickstone, you've given me many more). I appreciate and love you guys.
Second, I should give props to @missy, @rambo, @lyxzen, and SG Staff for creating/evolving this haven we call our home (or second home). I don't know everyone well, but I've known these three since the infancy of Suicide Girls. I know a lot of people used to call this a "punk rock community" with tattooed and mohawked naked ladies, but the truth is it couldn't be more punk rock how the site evolved to gather cultures, religions, beliefs, and women from every corner of the globe and turn it into a community of individuals. (More on that for another blog.) You've crafted this site with gentle hands, looked amazing in your own sets of new and old, and do the best you can to nurture a fair and loving community of people. I know it's not easy because the internet is more like a city than a house party, but you still take time to share the love and shake hands every chance you get. This is because of you. It's because of your love, hard work, and sense of community that this place has endured so long. To paraphrase a quote from a movie I can't quite remember, "I could kiss you on the mouth," meaning you are all beautiful in every aspect from every angle and I f'n love ya's! Plain and simple, you rock! (Extra nice comments to the person that can help me identify that quote or prove me insane if it's not an actual quote or paraphrase.)
Third, I want to c0-mention @nayru and @kettle. The two of you crazy beautiful ladies do so much to support your own respective communities within the site but also stand up as flagship individuals proving what the site is all about. I always hear great whispers behind the scenes about those wondrous smiles being true and see so much happening through your own posts across social media conveying such positivity that my heart melts on your words like hot fudge over a sundae. So sweet, I crave ice cream right now. If I were to choose some individuals that represented strength, courage, true beauty, positivity, and love it would be the two of you. It's damn near impossible to not fall in love over the soul inside those beautiful shells of skin. You have heart in every sense of the word and I see it inspire more than just me every day I log on.
Fourth, I already mentioned more than four people so I'll cheat and leave this open ended, but I love you still. The photographers have done wonderful jobs helping the models prove to the world they are more than pretty faces. The models themselves have shown they can sing, act, dance, paint, craft, and do just about anything they set their minds to. The smiles (here's looking at ladies like @kettle [again], @silver, @fresa, @catarina, and @chalk) that make me smile however dark the clouds above and inspire me to make the people around me smile. This is to the members that contribute shared enjoyments from food to music and intelligent conversation. You are spectacular. You make this site the community it is by being part of the community. If you read my blogs, talk to me on Whatsapp, or support the other wonderful individuals on the site then you know this is for you.
Obviously, I can't tag just four people otherwise I would make a hundred posts of four. That might be ridiculous, so I'll stick to what I know best and gift another appreciation post (or two) by Christmas. Keep an eye out for those if you're around and have time for more wondrous ladies to fill up that cheer for the holidays.
Though I will be back for more posts, I want to wish all of you a Merry Christmas, Happy Hanukkah, Happy Kwanzaa, and all the other holidays that could be mixed in there. Have a safe and solid New Year. Until next time, my friends and family!
