I think on my last journal, Shayne asked me to tell about my best vacation... I have been very fortunate to have a lot of great vacation memories... Growing up, every summer, my parents would take us on vacation... and we usually went to Colorado to go fishing and visit with my dad's good friends.... So some cool memories that I have from that are, stopping at the rest stops and buying indian jewelry from the little indian girls. Being in the middle of beautiful summer lightning storms, feeding crackers to the deer by the Royal Gorge bridge, hmmm, I have so many....

But my all time best vacation was 3 years ago... My best friend and I had just gotten out of very long relationships and we decided to go to Maui for my 22 birthday and for Halloween... So we just booked flights and went... We stayed with my cousin for 9 days in Lahaina, and because we stayed with my cousin, we got to vacation local style... we didn't really do all the touristy things... we went out on my cousin's friends boat and went snorkling out in the middle of nowhere,


we went on a 3 mile hike up a creek to a lava tube...



hiked another 2 miles in the pitch black climbing up waterfalls, and then ended up in the middle of a rainforest where there were beautiful waterfalls which we jumped off of...


then went to the top of the 11,000 ft volcano and camped out during a full moon... we hiked into the crater at about 2am and it was one of the most beautiful sights i have ever witnesses... i don't have a pic for that... sorry. then for halloween, it was the huge party on front street...
