Nothing like a drunken night of puking outside the Clermont to make you realize how awesome your life really is. As I woke up on a couch this morning, the second thought that cross my mind was how grateful I was for waking up early enough to see the beautiful sunrise (my first thought was "where the fuck am I?") Hahaha!
Anyway, I thought since my last blog was so melancholy that I would post a blog to show that I'm not really depressed or anything. I just get treated pretty shitty from time to time, and it gets to me, but I am a very happy/optimistic person despite my heartbreaks. Here's some reflecting I did this morning on everything that I am so grateful for...
I am grateful for my friends. I am grateful for each day that I don't have to worry about my basic needs being met. I am grateful for my youth. I am grateful for my health. I am grateful for my family. I am grateful for my job. I am grateful for my intelligence. I am grateful for my strength. I am grateful to all the wonderfulness and splendor that still exists in this world, and lastly, I am grateful for my tragedies, because I always triumph.
"With all its sham, drudgery and broken dreams, it is still a beautiful world. Be careful. Strive to be happy."
I will be thankful for this day, I will be thankful for each day to come...
Hope you're all well. I wish you a wonderful weekend.
xoxo,
Hales
