Monday: Went up to London for a show, ate at a Vegan Chinese place in Soho, liked it so much I had it again at a place in Camden that I always wanted to try, found out that it was owned by the same people (so there is actually a chain of Vegan Chinese take aways in London). The show opened late so all the bands had to play shorter sets, quick review:
Taking Names: Shit, they played for too long so The Break In had less time to play but it was funny when they invited the Scott from Special Move up on stage to sing a song and he just started fighting with TNs singer while singing
The Break In: their new singer isnt that good, didnt play that many songs from the CD or the 7 and the sound was shit to begin with, otherwise good
Misconduct: They got exactly the same reaction the last time when I saw them with Sick Of It All, everyone staying at the back of the venue politely clapping between songs, only showing some interest when they play covers (last time it was Warriors by Blitz and It Follows by Minor Threat, this time it was Good Intentions by Gorilla Biscuits). Shite
Awoken: Would have enjoyed them more if that guy hadnt elbowed me in the mouth (thats what I hate about going to Hardcore show, its less about the music and more about seeing who can act like the most sexually repressed, aggressive wanker)
Hoods: Better than I thought they were going to be, shame that they could only play for twenty minutes, I actually managed to sing on the mic for John And Kitty, I Own You and the cover of Friend Or Foe by Agnostic Front they did, left with a smile on my face. Also bought this shirt that I will be so wearing the next time I DJ
Found a place at Victoria station that was selling big bowls of Tofu fried rice (three helping of Vegan Chinese food in one day, my stomach isnt going to like me).
Tuesday: Got a letter from the job centre saying theyre sending someone to visit me because there is something I have told them about so I could be kicked off the dole next month, or fined, or put in prison, well see.
Wednesday: Second session of my latest sleeve tattoo done
Have to go back in two weeks to get a couple of little bits finished off which Ray isnt charging me for because he said last time that he would be able to finish it all off this time. Also ran into Bill (local heroin addict) a couple of times, fist time he tried to shake my hand and I just ignored him (Bill always approaches you by trying to shake your hand and then asking you for money), second time he followed me out of the kebab shop where he was using the fruit machine to try and double his money he got from begging/harassing people for money (what Bill doesnt get is that he just wins back all the money he puts in that thing all day) he was actually asking some guy on a ladder washing windows for a pound before he started walking along side me with his hand out like he wanted me to shake, so I told him to fuck off.
Thursday: Met up with Izy, Manny, Emily and one of Jiris at Wetherspoons for Izy leaving party and curry night (had a nice vegetable Tikka Masala, not sure if it was entirely Vegan but hey, its been eaten now) Bjorn, Mills and a couple of guys Izy knows turned up later. Much later a girl called Vienna (???) who works at Medway Tattoo & Piercing, who appears to slightly insane and fun (I like her already) and James Brodie showed up and we went to the Tap in Army James car. Had one pint of coke then fucked off home after Izy left.
Friday: Got bored hanging around by myself at home so I went to the Tap early with a book so I could hang around by myself and read (because I havent been reading that much what with all the going out this week and it makes me look less sad (hes not being anti-social, hes an enigma)). A couple of girls I recognised from the Manor came up to me and said Apparently, youre really funny and walked offkay. Rich, Zak, Chris and their big mate came in and I talked to them for a little bit until Beccy came in and told me Izy, Mark and Mike were already in the wine bar. Went into the wine bar and had a few non-alcoholic cocktails and a laugh. Mark told me about a job going at the place he works and talked me into giving him my mobile number so he could pass it on to his boss (it would mean having to go to fucking West Malling everyday but if Mark can get two buses from Gillingham I can get the 151 from Strood). The wine bar doesnt have a chef right now so we were aloud to order from a pizza place and have it delivered there. Izy and Mark ordered this special deal thing that came with onion rings, chips, garlic bread and chicken wings so I asked if I could have the chips and onion rings. When it came it was all put onto plates in the kitchen, Izy and Mark got their Pizzas and I got a plate of garlic bread, chips and onion rings I picked up a piece of the garlic bread to offer it Izy and Mark when I noticed the guy had put the greasy fucking chicken wings underneath it all (fuck sake). So I just picked at the chips and onion rings that hadnt touched the chicken (oh well fuck it, its not like I paid for it). Went into the Tap for a little while with Izy and one of her brothers, came out said goodbye to Izy went up to the Manor and met Zak, Rich and their mate talking to Punk Tom, went back to Tap again, walked around for a little while, met Chris outside after he finished chatting up the barmaid at the manor, got some chips from the kebab shop, got a taxi home.
Saturday: Stayed in and watched the Suicide Girls DVD and a couple of episodes from The Comic Strip Presents box set then read a bit more of The Devils by Dostoyevsky.
Sunday: Went to the cinema to see Land Of The Dead, surprisingly fucking good (great to see Tom Savini popping up as a zombie and Asia Argentos American accent improving since Scarlet Diva). Parents came back from Cornwall in the afternoon, dont have the house to myself anymore. Back to normality then, whatever that is.
