An (almost) good weekend at last
Friday I got a text from Hayley saying Im not DJing til next week, which I actually wasnt pissed off about because I was having a bad day and DJing at the Manor hasnt really brightened my mood the last couple of times plus I now get to DJ on a different night which Ive been meaning to ask if I can for a while. Ive now got more time to think about my set and take out some of the more popular things and play some stuff that I actually want to. Met Mark in the Tap who was a barrel of laughs what with him bitching about his job and how he deserves a nervous breakdown. Chris forced me down the Manor then I had to deal with watching him try to chat up one of the barmaids in the Indie room and wanting to start a fight with another member of bar staff (which looking back on it is better than just hanging around in the metal room getting depressed but still I dont want to go through it again). Luckily I had Rich to help me drag him out before he could do anything (he is useful for something).
Saturday I met up with Millsy, Steve and Chris at the Tap and just had a laugh chatting in the garden (a decent Saturday night at last). Mills came up with this brilliant insult when Chris asked him if he liked GWAR, he pulled the label from his shirt and said, See my name is written on the label, neither on my boxers, Im not that stupid I can recognise my own clothes). Had fun walking home after the taxi avoiding a group of Chavs trying to enquire what Black Flag is (I was wearing that shirt), I just ignored them and walked towards Darnley Road, not the smartest thing to do at that time of night but luckily I managed to find a reasonably well lit alleyway so I could make my way to Hawthorn and then my road.
Heres hoping next week wont be too painful.
