Tuesday: Preparation: a load of greasy chips, a double Espresso, an energy drink and a bar of Vegan chocolate. Ray told me my Dukes Of Nothing sleeve is in a tattoo book that Bizarre just put out (I'll have to get on that, I sent them a picture in the hope that they'd put it in the magazine, but this is still cool). For this occasion Ray put on the Sepultura album the sleeve is based on (Beneath The Remains), the fit girl that's sometimes on reception was watching the whole thing as she is in training to be a tattooist herself, her name is actually Becky, ever since the time we all went down to watch Steve get his Emperor tattoo we've only known her as "the fit girl". I've got a new body part for my list of painfully places to have tattoos; elbow, Ray was only working on the area around it but I was nearly in tears. For the first hour and a half I had to lay on my side with a couple of packets of paper towels for a head rest, but after a toilet break I had to switch to lying on my back. Got most of the line work done, have to wait 'til the 2nd of January for the next three hour session(! I know Ray is in high demand but that is fucking ridiculous, if it keeps on like this I won't get this sleeve finished in a year, oh well at least it will slow down my spending). Paid for today's session, put money down for the next, ate another bar of Vegan chocolate, drank another energy drink, went in Sound & Image to show off my new ink to Manny and Rory then got my bus home.
