Friday: Went in Sound & Image, the shop that's taken the place of Sounds Perfect, the old owners were there, they didn't recognise me at first, well they been gone for five years. They've got loads of new stock, it's more commercial but a lot cheaper then ever. Picked up a Lynyrd Skynyrd album and a couple of Corrosion Of Conformity CDs. Did my food shopping and went home. Left the house at half six, got to the command house about seven, bands;
Joannes Fault: Meh.
The Throw Offs: Extremely irritating, impressed that they were probably the only local Ska band that has a trumpet player.
Smutline: All I could think of as I saw the frontman in glasses and a cardigan was "Milo goes to Eton"
Los Salvadores: Good but also a bit irritating at the same time.
7 Day Conspiracy: Actually quite impressed with them, thought they were the headlining band as they didn't say their name and mentioned they released something through EMI (well the chances of 32 Frames Per Second being that good weren't all that much and I just felt like leaving anyway).
Walked up to the Tap, wishing I hadn't left my coat at home, ran straight into Gabriel and Liam, hung out with them for a while. Saw Ollie later, found that they got rid of the Hip Hop room and now made it into a retro room (bring back the old games room). Lost track of everyone about half twelve so I left for chips and a taxi home.
Saturday: While I was at Tescos in Strood I saw two Chavs set of the anti theft devices and leg it, first time I've actually seen someone stealing something set those things off, all the other times were just other people setting them off by accident, I set them off myself once the morning after I DJed at the Manor then went to Izy's party and stayed at her house, I popped into Tescos to grab so stuff on the way home and my backpack full of CDs set it off, then I had to have one of the middle aged ladies at the front go through all my CDs to check I hadn't stole them from there or something, and I just happened to have Cunt by Blood Duster with me. Went to the Tap, hung around for two hours and saw nobody I knew, in fact it seemed like there were only fifty people that night, it seems like the novelty of going to the Tap on a Saturday night is starting to wear off, from last night it looks like more people I know are staying at the Tap on a Friday, Steve still goes to the Manor but that's mostly because of his new girlfriend, I may start going out on Friday's again if Saturday's are going to be this dire. Got my coat out of the cloak room, did see Pete on my way out, got a cheap taxi home and watched TV for a bit before going to bed.
