Wednesday: Walked down to the RAF Hall from the fire station followed by screaming Emo kids, oh goody it's half term. Found loads of fifteen year old kids waiting in the car park, thankfully the doors opened so I didn't get too annoyed. Saw Steve and told him about embarrassing myself while auditioning for Guy's band, he went off to the bar and disappeared, later I saw Liam and he told me they were all hanging out backstage, well the kitchen area. Stayed there until they went onstage, pretty much ignored the other bands, Mills and Danny showed up a bit later, Steve went over to the Command House with Danny talk to his girlfriend about booking them a couple of shows in London and Swindon and the possibility of them doing a tour with another local band (Reasonable Doubt were mentioned). Steve said he finally convinced the others to change the name, the choices were Urban Shaman (the other's laughed that down, I said it would be perfect for Stoner Rock "but we're NOT Stoner Rock") or Devil's Cleft (Devil's Cleft it is apparently).
8 Ball: Changed up their set a bit played a couple of new ones (No Conscience, which sounds like it could be an unreleased cut from Master Of Reality), also Gabriel has replaced Chris, I didn't ask what happened. They went down a lot better than they thought they would "I'm amazed we haven't been lynched because we can play our instruments and shit." They took the piss and played a lot longer than they were supposed to, Steve announced the last song and they played two back to back, during to quiet moment in Police State Steve said "Emo music sucks cock" despite his worry that he would be sort of beaten up by fifteen year old Emo kids.
Told Steve he'd shame Eddie Van Halen before leaving with Mills, talked bollocks all the way to the taxi rank. Mills saw his train come into the station and ran to get it, I got into a taxi and went home.
Thursday: Had to go to the Job Centre early in the morning, signed on, did some job search with Fiona, found one job to apply to, came home, found I'd accidentally sent a CV to the wrong address (it was supposed to go to 5 New road, I'd sent it to 5a New Road, instead of just handing it next door they sent it back to me).
Friday: Went for a check op on my last tattoo, Dom told me it was healing fast and to come back next week, when it should be completely healed. Stayed in, Dad came back from the hospital after an operation on his knee with crutches, watched Beyond Reanimator, as far as dodgy horror sequels go, this one is all right.
Saturday: Had a nightmare that I was in bed and I couldn't move, I could barely breath and felt like I was being crushed, I tried kicking my legs but could only manage to move my arms, I got my eyes open and saw a jellyfish like alien kneeling down next to me. I woke up a little while before the postman rang the front door with a special delivery of my Neon Genesis Evangelion platinum box set (I'm a geek I know). Decided that I wasn't going to get up this early the next day so I went to the cinema and saw Hot Fuzz (ridiculously good, noticed some homage's to Dario Argento). Watched about ten episodes of Evangelion before I left the house. Got brave enough to walk to Darnley Road to get a bus, no Chavs about, must be tired out from half term. As I was walking to the Tap I overheard the fat woman bouncer arguing with the guy who stamps people hands because she wasn't letting in a group of fifteen year old girls (you stand your ground love), walked straight into Rich as I went to put my jacket in the cloak room, found Chris, Zak, his girlfriend, Ollie and Pete sitting on the middle floor. Zoey came up to me and told me she waved at me last night in the Manor "I wasn't out last night" "oh, well I waved at a stranger then" got annoyed by Terry. Nothing much really happened, I just hung around with Chris and Ollie and got depressed, at first going to the Tap with all the old Manor DJs was a nice nostalgia trip, but all I can think about is that they just play all the same songs from back then, and I see a lot of the same people who went back then and they're happy with it, which just reaffirms my belief that I need to get the fuck out of Medway. Left about ten to two, got a large chips from the kebab shop to cheer myself up then got a taxi home.
Sunday: Had a lie in, watched more episodes of Evangelion.
Monday: Had to call the place I was having the interview and rearrange it for tomorrow afternoon as Donna was busy. Walked to Chatham, went in Sounds Perfect, everything half price as they were closing in a couple of weeks. Manny and Rory were smashing some VHS tapes that had been on sale for ages just for fun, picked up three vinyl records and two CDs for under twenty five quid, Manny threw in a Converge poster and a Nardwaur calendar. Did some food shopping and went home. Watched more episodes of Evangelion and Rain Man.
Tuesday: Donna came to pick me up while I was in the middle of getting changed. Got to Sittingbourne too early, Donna called the place the interview was and asked if they could see us earlier. It was a tiny portacabin, smaller than RBLI with everyone working in the same room. The girl doing the interview just seemed a bit older than me and was wearing a low cut dress so I had to resist staring at her tits for the whole thing. She told me I may get called back for a second interview in the next week or so. On the drive back Donna talked about how unprofessional she was and that I'd be better suited to working in a banking environment.
