Friday: Oh fuck, went down the tap ran into Steve and Liam, hung out with them and their college mates until nine, then they decided to go to the Command House. I sent a text to Mills knowing he might be out tonight, he said he'd be at the Command House by about nine. As we were walking down there we ran into some people Liam knew who were going to the Manor, there was one bird that Liam had a chance of getting on so they all went to the Manor. I went to the Command House thinking "well I've already told Mills I'd be there" spent a miserable half an hour by myself, tired calling Mills a couple of times only getting his voice mail, so I sent him a text and finally found out he was going to the Manor with Chris, I went home and half fucking nine.
Saturday: The two DVDs I ordered from Burning Angel came through the post, cheered me up no end. Went into Chatham in the morning to get a new DVD player that would play my American DVDs for just 70. Left the house after two to get the train to Victoria. Went to Reckless Records, found loads of stuff for cheap, got Heresy, The Lucky Nine and xBISHOPx CDs then saw a box of Hardcore seven inches on the counter and found splits by Cripple Bastards/Comrades, Hellchild/Gomorrha and a Born Against/Suckerpunch square split flexi disk. Popped into Sister Ray but decided to leave because I'd be too tempted to spend more money. Got something to eat from the Vegan Chinese restaurant just off Soho Square, got a free can of Coca Cola with my buffet, first time I've touched the stuff since I've boycotted them since the Summer, now it may seem hypocritical for me to drink something from a company I'm boycotting but fuck it, I still didn't give them my money. Mills sent me a text saying he was coming up to London so I told him to meet me in Virgin Megastore. When he came we started making our way to Kentish Town, as soon as we got to the Northern Line we found out it was partly closed down, so we got the Circle Line to Oxford Street, took the Victoria Line to Euston, waited for ages to get a train to Camden Town but got bored of waiting after the train times kept changing and got a bus. I made us get off at the wrong stop and we wound up walking for fifteen minutes to get to Kentish Town, as we joined the back of the long line we heard Capricorns start their set, Mills told me that the manor wasn't that bad the night before, they've got a new DJ (may give it one more chance), when they left Liam was so pissed they managed to talk him into pissing over a cash point in Chatham High Street and saw a woman try to use it while theyt were walking away. While they got something eat from the kebab shop Liam got into a fight with some Pikey kids, kicked their arses and made them run away, I'm sorry I missed all this. By the time we got in we just managed to catch the end of them, went up to the merch stall, found no CDs but got a sweet Neurosis work shirt for 35 (made by Dickies, first Lee Jeans making the Scissorfight hoodies I own, now this).
Made Out Of Babies: They have a dumpy female singer with facial make up like Adam Ant and sounded disjointed and doomy and kind of cool, Mills pointed out their singer could be the sister of Karen O, well they do both come from New York.
Neurosis: Their back drop is a white circle which they projected films to accompany each song. They played a lot of new stuff, sounding surprisingly aggressive (just when you thought they were mellowing out). The only songs I recognised were The Tide, Prayer, Left To Wander and Crawl Back In (during which the American guy from Capricorns walked past us and gave me a funny look, maybe he recognised me from the Chatham show)
Left at quarter to eleven to get a bus to Oxford Circus, got the train to Victoria, got chips in pita from the kebab shop across the road, saw Ash, the bartender in the Rock Room of the Manor when I was DJing there before we got on the train, got annoyed by loud drunk Chavs before they got of at Longfield, got off at Chatham then got a taxi home.
