Friday: Saw something brilliant on the Christian channel, a guy saying how God told him to throw out all his Metal CDs so he snapped all his Metal CDs in half and chucked them out, then a few months later God told him it was alright to listen to Metal. Id love to debate with the Christian Rock people about bands like Youth Of Today, Good Clean Fun and Minor Threat discourage people from drugs, smoking and alcohol but are also Hare Krishna or Pagan or just say the Bible is full of shit. Went down the Tap, Chris was trying to talk me into going to a pub in Rochester then the Manor (Its your Birthday on Sunday, how can I get drunk for you if youre not there?), made an excuse that Mills hadnt arrived and it would be rude to leave before he got there, then Mills showed up and Chris left with Anita and Steve. So I stayed in the Tap with Mills, talked bollocks about a lot of things saw this girl who looked like a Manga character from the eighties (specifically one of the ugly biker groupie girls from Akira), Mills didnt believe she looked like a Manga character from the way I described her until he saw himself then started going on about how much she REALLY looked like a Manga character every time we saw her that night. Left about 12 and went to the kebab shop and laughed at the bloke who was ranting that all the bad painting were wrong because they contradicted the Koran (he knew this as he lived and worked in Saudi Arabia) and asking if the guys behind the counter were Arabic. Finished by chips then got a taxi home, the guy driving was fiddling with a packet of cough sweets while trying to steer, later he started coughing violently and said Dont worry Im just going to have a fit then he started clutching his chest with the other hand on the steering wheel and I noticed the car was swerving a bit on Rochester bridge. Somehow we made it to my house without crashing.
Saturday: Went down to Strood train station to go to Gillingham to meet Mills and Steve only to find out that there was repairments being done on Rochester bridge. The ticket machine was broken so the guy telling people what bus to get on just said to get a ticket when I got to Gillingham (of course I will). Got to Beacon Court and found Steve and Mills talking to one of Steves collage music teachers, the guy saw my Black Flag shirt and said Have you seen Black Flag, you must have seen Black Flag I told him Ive seen Rollins Band doing a set of all Black Flag songs but I was three when they broke up. Had a long conversation about music then we left so Steve and Mills could have a spliff round the corner, Sounds Perfect Chris came over to talk to us as his band were playing in the pub. We walked down Gillingham high street to find somewhere to eat and ran into Skinhead Tom pouring a bottle of coke into a large glass bottle with a generous measure of whiskey in it, talked to him for a little bit while he offered random passerby out for a fight and sang Im Forever Blowing Bubbles (hes a Millwall supporter). Got some food in a kebab shop when the combination of four pints of beer and a few tocks on Steves spliff finally caught up with Mills (took some great pictures of him holding his head in the kebab shop but I still havent found a way to get my pictures off my phone and onto my computer) so Steve had to eat his burger and I ate his chips. Mills went outside for some fresh air and said he wanted to go home and sleep it off but Steve made him get up and take us to the pub where everyone else is going. So we walked through a really rough part of Gillingham past a church with a life sized crucifix of Jesus (it looked so real and painful me and Steve had to take phone cam pictures of it while Mills said that there wasnt anything special about it and it was the church he went to when he was younger). Walked past an evil, spooky looking graveyard and finally got to the pub where Mark, his girlfriend Helen, her mate whos name escapes me, Kaz, Chris Little, Pete, Fubar and his girlfriend Max were. We were there because it was Petes birthday during the week but I didnt mention it was my birthday til after midnight. We all talked bollocks while Mills sat around and held his head for a couple of hours then started talking. This insane drunk bloke called Ian started talking at us at random parts of the night, he was fucking hilarious, I tried to record him on my phone but he kept fucking off after I set it up (I nearly filmed him sing No Limit by 2Unlimited to Kaz at one point). Before me, Steve and Mills left I ran into Gav, one of The Guillaume Seem guitarists, he was drunk and I had a weird conversation about my Aspergers Syndrome with him because he works with disabled people. Mills went home and me and Steve went to a taxi office, the guy there called a taxi for us and let us come in til it came, watched Celebrity Big Brother with some Chavy bloke then left when our taxi arrived.
Sunday: I hate my twenties so far, got 380 from various family members but other than that I had a bit of a shit day. Went to Nans Birthday lunch (its her Birthday too), first one Ive gone to in ages (felt guilty not see Uncle Alan before he died last year). It was good to see everyone but I didnt know what to say to people I havent seen for nearly ten years. Auntie Pauline asked me about being a Vegan as she said she was going off meat and big Cousin Matts son Harvey told people he was the only gay in the village. Came home, wrote this, Ill make myself a pizza later and read the Q magazine special on Johnny Cash.
