Friday: Got a text from Hayley asking if I could DJ on New Years Eve. Will I regret this, fuck it, I dont want to spend two New Years Eves down the Manor in a row again, and I told her I was busy. Bought Devils Rejects on DVD, spent the afternoon watching it. Went to the Tap and was pleasantly surprised to see Izy, her brother, Mark, Mills and Fubar already there (I dont have to go down the Manor and explain myself now, I have people to hang out with) and actually said out loud thank fuck youre here. Chris and Zak came along but left before I could say happy New Year seeing as I probably wouldnt see them tomorrow. About nineish everyone decided they couldnt bother staying out so we all collectively went up to the Taxi bay. Got home watched the making of documentary on the second disk of Devils Rejects (which is actually 50 minutes longer than the actually film), got over the shock that they actually used CGI in a couple of scenes then had a look on SuicideGirls, didnt like the set that had just been put up so I watched a video I downloaded from BurningAngel instead.
Saturday: Went into an internet caf to post some bulletins on Myspace (because my computer at home wont let me for some strange reason), got up to pay for the half an hour I spent there and some old woman waiting in line to order backed off me as I was leaving (I cant look that fucking threatening can I). Got a text from Mills saying he wont be coming to the Tap and spending New Years with Mark and Pete in a pub in Gillingham, resisted the temptation to text back and ask if I can tag along. Missed the bus going to Chatham as I was walking to Darnley Road so I decided to walk into Strood and get a bus from there. Had an awkward moment crossing Tescos car park with three Chavs coming to opposite direction, one of them said Happy New Year to me so I mumbled Happy New Year back at them sounding a bit pissed off. Got to the Tap, no one I knew about so I read Terrorism And War by Howard Zinn all the way to the end, put my backpack in the cloak room and went up to the top floor. It was a little miserable sitting by myself but thankfully Im the kind of person who gets introspective and focuses on the good things when something shitty happens to me, I promised myself that I wouldnt spend this New Years Eve in the Manor and I fucking didnt, I did actually start to feel better having time to myself and thinking about everything thats going on in my life right now. Fubar handed me a ticket for another club night hes doing on Tuesday (cool, Ill see if I can get Chris and Mills to come along). Had this random drunk kid named Paul sit down next to me and had a conversation about my tattoos, I tried to get away after he went mental while they played Ace Of Spades, he managed to find me again later while they where playing Digital by Joy Division (my second favourite Joy Division song next to Twenty Four Hours), I could see he was puzzled that I was visible enjoying it yet I didnt move during Motrhead. Saw some guy wearing a Cro-Mags shirt and nodded approvingly at him (thought of nearly made a twat of myself by going up to him and saying Dude, you like proper Hardcore). Ran into Beccy and Emily later on in the night and also Hardip, who I had a nice long chat with and hung out with her group of friends until midnight. Later on some guy who goes to the same uni as Hardip tried to get a snog off her, she told him to fuck off then he tried to have a go at me saying that I was following her around, after he left Hardip apologised about him and I said that I was sorry I actually was following her around but she said it was cool because she realised that she was the only person I properly knew there and said that dont worry you can have him and started relating these stories about how this guy was obsessed with her and acted like a prick to any guy she hung out with, so I related some stories about Heifer and her unhealthy obsession with me. Left about 1 am got some chips, saw the guy who Chris knows who asked me to play Power Metal in the Manor, said Happy New Year to him as I went in the kebab shop then as I was leaving I saw he was still there so I raised my chips like a pint and said Merry Hanukkah as I went up to the Taxi bay. There was a massive queue when I got up there and Heifer (speak of the woman/cow thing) was just a couple of people away from me, so I thought Fuck it, Im in a good mood and it only takes an hour to walk home so off I went. Shook the hand of some random drunk Asian bloke along New Road and had to weave across a few roads when I saw a group of Chavs going in the opposite direction and made it home safely by 2 am.
Hanging out with Hardip made me realise that it didnt matter where you went for New Years Eve, it the company you're in that matters. I dont blame my friends for going off to different places, I blame myself for putting myself in this position, this was the first New Years that Ive been out by myself since I was 18 and it really made me appreciate having friends all the more. I have a good feeling about 2006, good years for me always come in even numbers in 2002 and 2004 I made a lot of friends and had some powerful life changing experiences, Ive been thinking about going back to college this year to take A Levels as I got crap GCSEs the first time around and that among other things have stopped me getting the kind of work Ive been looking for.
Heres to the future.

Hey man, going back to college is a good move, you can't go wrong with more qualifications...if you do it, good luck with it.
