Friday: Got a phone call after I came back from the gym inviting me to an interview next week, cool. Went up to London to see Trial quick review:
xThe Break Inx: Sound was a lot better than the last time I saw them but I still think the new singe is the wrong man for the job
November Coming Fire: Great as usual, played mostly new songs but they did play Near Death from the EP so I was upfront singing/screaming along to the Goodbye, fuck you part at the end.
Trial: Never heard them before but I stuck around to check them out, fucking brilliant, I be hunting down their stuff in the future
Got the train back to Chatham, tried to get in the manor for the last hour to see everyone but the bouncers wouldnt let anyone in (and I didnt feel like being big headed and say that I used to DJ there). Sat near the entrance and watched some Geordie squadies get in an argument with the bouncers and had a chat with Jaffa about the Madball show last week and advised him not to wear a studded leather belt the next time he goes stage diving as I felt the fucking thing go right across my face. Fucked off home.
Saturday: Stayed in and watched Ginger Snaps, God I love Katharine Isabelle.
Sunday: Went up to London in the afternoon to see Melt Banana. While I was walking to Camden Station I heard this guy preaching, saying before he turned to Jesus he used to be an alcoholic and exposed himself to Children, there was more to it but I was in a hurry and I dont think he would have liked it if I stuck around and openly laughed at him. Met Mills inside the Garage, quick review:
Narcosis: Spent ages getting ready then, without facing the crowd the singer said in a shy, quiet voice ello were Narcosis from Liverpool and proceeded to Grind like bastards. No gaps between songs expect for a couple of moments. Great.
Bullet Union: Much better than I expected them to be. Kinda reminded me of a cross between Kid Dynamite and The Letters Organize, and there was me thinking England doesnt breed good Melodic Hardcore.
Im Being Good: Irritating. If I had wanted to see an Indie band playing Doom and being really pretentious about it Id have gone to a local show.
Melt Banana: Id only heard their cover of Ulterior by Discordance Axis and a couple of random songs on The Lock Up so I didnt know exactly what to expect. They were really cool, the female singer didnt do really typical Grindcore vocals (well they arent a typical Grindcore band) but the way she was yelping it kinda sounded like she was saying Tick tock over and over again. She also seemed to be playing up to her Japanese accent a bit tomorrow night we are playing inSowHamTON. Really good on the whole.
On the underground Mills asked me if I wanted to go to Furyfest next year instead of Download as it will be cheaper and they have better bands (I doubt if Black Sabbath and Motorhead will play Download two years in a row), I better start learning French. On the train home we got stuck next to a couple arguing, the guy was mad at the girl for getting into a fight with a Scottish woman who looked at her funny and chatting up sixteen year old boys, he kept calling her a prick, a cunt and a Neanderthal and me and Mills had to try and not laugh, at one point the girl went back to talking to the sixteen year old boys, so the guy got up, went into the carriage, yelled FUCK OFF, CUNT at her then went back to his seat and called her on his phone so he could call her a cunt some more. Got out at Chatham, saw the drunk guy who was on the train making loud racist comments at no one in particular and singing parts of Motorhead songs he could remember that time I saw Send More Paramedics at the ULU. He was just standing around by the taxi bay, before I got in the cab he started hyperventilating and breathing into a plastic shopping bag (yeah, thatll help). The guy who drove me home was on the phone the whole time he was driving, he actually took me the wrong way but when I told him he stopped the meter at 9.60 (which is what it normally costs for me) and drove me the correct way home, still gave him a 1 tip.

disco:
I don't rate the new xTBIx at ALL. Duggan was aweosme, Although, I only saw them singing the new-style stuff with Duggan once or twice - I'm still stuck in the 'Stand Strong' days. And NCF need to play Transgression again
roopie:
Thankyou for the lovely comment on my set
