Friday: Woke up at about quarter to seven after a really cool dream involving Zombies and people bursting into flames and couldnt get back to sleep. Felt really good during the day for no good reason, sun was out, weights didnt feel so heavy at the gym. Went down the Tap and read Rousseau until Chris and Zak came down, Mills and Rich came down later, then Chris and Mills fucked off to the Manor, I didnt really want to go so I told them Id go down when Rich goes up to say goodbye to people there (hes going back to Ireland this weekend). Kinda sat quietly with Zak and a girl he works with and listened to Rich spout shit for two hours until Chris and Mills came back (didnt have to go to the manor anyway, yay!). Had a laugh for a couple of hours then left around 0ne am, lost track of Mills who sent a text saying he was downstairs then I couldnt find him, and Rich, who was apparently thrown out for fighting, well thats what Zak said anyway. Oh, yeah I also stole this from the Tap
Saturday: Found out Sounds Perfect Chris and Miles went to the xCANAANx show in Ashford the night before, so I was pissed off in realizing that if I would have gone to the show I might have been able to get a lift back off them, oh well, crying, spilt milk, fuck it. Stayed in and read.
Sunday: Went up to London to see Comeback Kid, some Pikey kids tried to start fights with random people in the crowd, then some bigger Pikeys came along and accused the same people of picking on them while the kids went over the road and stole a bike that someone left in front of Camden Town station (scary moment I was watching one of the Pikeys start on someone when the guy locked eyes with me over a big crowd of people and said what are you looking at and then went back to trying to start a fight with the guy he was talking to. Quick review of the show:
FC Five: Really cool Japanese Hardcore band, picked up their CD later and was a little shocked to find out that theyre on Roadrunner Japan.
Bane: I must confess I never really got Bane before, but I was prepared to give them a chance, and OH. MY. FUCKING. GOD they completely blew me away (as Im writing this Im downloading as many Bane songs as I can find (I did also pick up Give Blood last night as well))
Comeback Kid: Didnt rock as hard as Bane but were fucking great all the same. Stayed up front for the first part of the set and sang along, managed to perfect my technique of handling stage divers while I was watching/singing, you can stop people from climbing up you to get on stage by moving your head backwards and tilting your torso forwards, thus making yourself harder to climb up, also made one guy go straight into the floor just by taking a few steps backwards when he was floundering around the heads of the people in front of me. Best Hardcore show Ive been to in a long time, did take some pictures on my phone but I still havent found a way to put them on my computer.
