This week, my workplace sent me to a training class (Deploying Intrusion Detection Systems). The class is OK , I thought it would be more intensive but it is mostly the teacher explaining and talking a lot and not enough hands-on practice.
now for the exciting part of this journal, I left class early today, and I remember that MOMA (Museum of Modern Art) was right next door to the training building. So I decided to go and see the exhibits (second time there ). They did all this renovation and the place is just like a giant maze . Really cool paintings , I missed being there and seeing the Surrealist paintings by Salvador Dali and Rene Magritte ... for some reason I really like the surrealist paintings, they seem like photographs and the color are so vivid ... saw pieces by Picasso , Monet and Pollock , even though I'm not a big fan of Pollock ... saw some new artists's work . I'm not really a art critic but some of the stuff were really amazing ... I might go back Friday and take some pictures because this was an improptu visit so I was not carrying my camera .... if you guys are ever in NY you should check out the exhibits ...
here are some pics of the surrealist paintings currently displayed at MOMA .
Salvador Dali- The Persistent of Memory
Rene Magritte - The Menaced Assassin
Rene Magritter - The False Mirror

Oh, and thanks for the encouraging words the other day on my condition, I appreciate it. I think you're totally right about keeping a forward and positive outlook, I'll try to remember that.
Does it pays off to do a job so fast that you have nothing left to do for a few days ? Lately, I have been so bored at my job, I wish I can log on to SG and check out what's happenning ... but according to my workplace, SG is a porn site thus block for my safety ... I was thinking of emailing the system admin to unblock the site arguing that this is an artistic web site, that the nudie pics are photo art ... but then I thought some of the pics are pretty hot and then I don't want to be known as the SG guy in the office ...
