I had my very first taste of a Boston snowstorm yesterday. Complete with thunder and lightning.
Thunder and fucking lightning! Say what???
the usual 15 minute car ride from Cambidge to my apartment back in Brighton took 2 hours. Ok, so we did stop at the Shaws for "provisions" (frozen pizza is a provision, isnt it?) for 20 minutes
but still, 2 hours, people.
We couldnt even see the shopping center 100 feet in front of us when we pulled into the parking lot, absolutely nothing was plowed, we had to run through knee-high drifts to get back to the car and we prayed as we pulled up the slight incline of my street that the car wouldnt spin out.
But we arrived in one piece, dug ourselves a parking space and holed up with afore-mentioned frozen pizza, salad and the last of the Lord of the Rings Movies, as for the last 3 days Ben has gotten his wish that I finally watch them.
And now its off to venture back out into the snow for pancakes!
