It was ridiculous.
Driving. These mountain Roads.
I need home.
I need flat pavement.
I need to breath bad smog polluted air
I need jerks and middle fingers
I need tan polished skin and wind blown faces
I need violence and drug use
I need homeless begging for change
I need sand in my seat and sun
Yesterday I was told that I was too much for this town
I need to be told I am useless
Where is the hatred [LOVE]
I need LA
I need HOLLYWOOD
I need my HOME OF VENICE BEACH
I want to kiss the sun
I want to kiss the lips of my lady lover potente on the street corner in broad daylight

No matter where I go and no matter how much scum and desperation there is, it's never like home.
In an unrelated note:
Due to our mutual love of The American Bible of Outlaw Poetry I wanted to ask if you've become familiar with The American Bible of Outlaw Literature and The American Bible of Outlaw Essays. I picked up Literature the other day, it's pretty good. At the very least having the other two would round out a nice bookshelf.
If you're interested let me know if you can find it near you. If not I can get a copy of it at substantial discount here and I'd mail it to you. A gesture of friendship.
