So, we now know that Integras, while they cannot fly, have an amazing resilliency against your average road sign. I'm still pulling slivers of glass out of my shoulder and neck, but all will be fine. Hopefully this achey poopy feeling is from the adrenalin rush and following lack of sleep.
Lesson Learned: I think I'll stick to driving/riding in my Dodge for awhile. I don't have the best of luck as a passenger.
I got pulled over last night, too. The friendly officer let me smoke a cigarette and listen to Megadeth in his cruiser while we tried to figure out why the state thinks my insurance has lapsed, and yet I have a statement that shows that my insurance is paid up through August. Also, apparently two of the cops were messenging each other back and forth... I was asked if my Dodge was a Hemi..., ha ha. I still got a ticket, but it'll be dismissed once I have my insurance company fax over a statement showing that I am, in fact, covered. Stupid state computers... apparently they never update. No wants, no warrants, but by God, the insurance information has apparently not been updated since I last paid my bill in February.
Bad night... But, all in all, it could've ended up being a much worse night. I am amazed that we walked away from that wreck, more or less unscathed. The ticket can be taken care of with a little bit of intellegent communication. And tonight, I'm staying in.
I know that it scared to life out of Duke last night. At times, you could tell that he was beside himself, not knowing what to do. I think tonight, unless he wants to go home directly after work, I'll arrange for a movie and some cuddling time. After the past few days, I think we could use it.
