Whew... last day on the job with the corporation. I didn't realize how I'd made a lot of peoples' jobs a lot easier by being there... I got a job offer in the International Parts and Sales department this afternoon.
But I've already made my commitment. I accepted the position with the Engineering firm. I know that this office will be a lot more conservative than the last, but I'm willing to make the compromise. The benefits outweigh the importance of my freakish vanity.
As of tomorrow, Duke and I have been together for 10 months. As of the 7th, he hadn't had a drink (or anything but cigs and a bit of the wacky tobacky) in 11 months. We're reaching some really nice milestones lately.
But he and Keem are on their way over here, so I'm outs.

and you know, for some reason i really thought you and duke had been together longer than that... in a good way, though, in that "we know what the other is thinking, and we're comfortable with each other, even at our most vulnerable moments" kind of way...
anyway, so i'm thinking about planning a visit up there, sooner rather than later (i'm thinking end of february). don't mention it to the boy, its a surprise for him, but we'll have to hang out while we're there...
