DarkPrincess, Austin and I just got back from Shreveport on Friday. I introduced DarkPrincess to my mother, sister and some of my extended family. As expected, everyone loved her. 
Too cool, we had a fun albeit rushed time.
Friday night DarkPrincess saw Drunken Fool (AKA: Drowning Pool) at The Curtain Club. Effin' awesome to see a bigger band at such a small venue. It was sooo freakin' hot though. Deep Ellum in the summer can be so miserable. We had a good time, DarkPrincess got a bit freaked out when I started bouncing. She was afraid I was going to hurt someone by falling on them or whatever. It was kinda funny. We stuck around after the show, DarkPrincess got all the members of the band to autograph a playlist she had from a previous show.
DarkPrincess spent most of yesterday just chillin' in bed, which was really cool. Nice to just be a bum sometimes.

Aug 15th - 19th: A mini vacation to Michigan
Aug 25th: Rob Zombie and Smackgod

I'm glad that you get to go up north while its still warm. Looks like I might be heading up to Fargo in Nov. when its freezing fucking cold!
