One thing I don't like about about being an online person exclusively is that when I meet people I am interested in I am very easily pushed away. I dislike how quickly someone who seems interested can just ditch a reply as if it were nothing.

A girl added me the other day, it might be presumptuous of me but that means they are interested in me even as a friend.
I say hello and proceed to ask why she added me, she responded that she wishes to make new friends. After about 3 messages breaking the ice and finding out about each other with almost single sentences from her and about a paragraph from me she stops responding to my questions.
I then wonder why the sudden drop in interest in making a new friend I check her a couple hours later and it says she got tired of homework and went to a bar. I send her a message asking hey what happened with a smiley face to ensure I mean no ill will. She responded that she got caught up doing homework and now she went to a bar because she is bored. I send her a message in reply asking what bar? She doesn't respond.
Then in the morning she leaves me a comment saying hello and asking how im doing. I respond and we get a short conversation. I find out she has the day off and ask if she would like to hang out. She says yes after she finishes running errands. So that was at around 12 in the afternoon. At 7 PM i message asking if she is busy she tells me she is riding with her dad on his motorcycle. then I tell her to text me when she is free so we can hang out. Never received a text or message.
To me this girl is very pretty, she seems like someone I would date as far as looks and some information we talked about but because of this occurrence with a steady set of avoiding me I will NEVER date her. Sure this is within 2 days, but it seems like she is avoiding me and my rule of thumb for relationships and friendships is if someone stops talking to you it's because they don't want to talk to you so leave them alone.
This person will still receive replies from me but I will not send the first message ever again. If they never send me another message then we will never speak again. 9 out of 10 girls I meet online do this. It makes me feel bad every time. But I move on over and over and over again, sometimes almost at daily pace. Only the girls who bother to respond will get my time and friendship. And all I ask for in return, the single thing I need from any person, is a response.
So I hope this girl lives a happy and wonderful life, because there is nothing i can do for her now.

i do think age has a lot to do with it. and that's where the excuses come from.
i know that maybe i shouldn't talk, but our circumstances were very different, and influenced by a douchebag entering my life. (who ps. broke up with his wife 4 days after he left me, and is doing some other girl here on the west side----nice)
