Last two weeks have been fucking crammed! The sergeant in charge of the office PCSed to Florida so they put me in charge. So there is now a corporal (me) doing a platoon sergeant's job and I have the wrong job specialty so I'm never completely certain about what is going on. So far it's been pretty smooth, there was one incident when the only specialist of the group got pissed because she thought she should have been put in charge. The CO informed her that I was senior both in time in service and rank and that he chose me because of my leadership time in Iraq which would have gotten me the job over her even if we were the same rank. It's awesome having a boss who covers your back. I did get in a little trouble while I was teaching Military Science yesterday. Evidently it is unprofessional to tell a student, "I don't know what's gonna kill you first once you're an officer, your stupidity or your own men." I come from the R. Lee Ermey school of calling it as you see it. he said it perfectly when he said, "I was not put on the planet to play nicey nice with numb nuts!"
My car slid on some ice and smashed into a curb. The front right wheel assembly is toast, the brake caliper shifted outward and is constantly rubbing the wheel and the ball joint is broken and there is probably more. For the time being my insurance company is paying for an awesome SUV for me to ride in.
Some of the weather we've been contesting with.
Waist high snow drifts + thick ass fog = really fun driving.
My new workout and diet are coming together, I have already lost 17 lbs. since I started.

Sorry about the wreck. I did about the same thing, a year ago. Minus insurance. Womp.
At least they gave you an SUV to trudge around in the snow! Nice.
And congrats on the weight loss. What're you doing for it?
