So yea ... a lot has happen since I last posted. Lets see what I can think of ....
Well first thing is that I moved into Philly, straight from the Main Line. There are something I miss but I don't miss dealing with the rich people drama. I moved into a twin, 5 bedroom, 3 store house that is a block away from an Asian Market, which is heaven for my household. I live with my friends Tom and Chris from home, Chris's girlfriend Maria, and to students from my school. One graduated last year, and her name is Alice and the other one, Erica is a senior in the same major at school (by the way, we are Jewelry Majors). Erica doesn't live in the house on a constant basis due to the fact that her new boyfriend lives the house over from us.
My school year started up. I'm taking 4 studio course and if anyone reading this has ever been to an art school, then you know what my semester is going to look like.
The first is the studio class that I HAVE to take as a part of my major. To be honest, I hate this class this semester because it just adds more work to a workload of classes that I'm interested in.
The next one is called Electro-forming which to sum it all up is the process of growing metal on to objects. Here is an example. That is a piece of the head of my department, and to give you more of an idea about the style .... those parts at the bottom are hollow.
The class after that is called Rapid Prototyping. This is on of my favorite courses, it's uses CAD-CAM to design something and then I send it to the rapid prototyper which is like a 3D ink jet printer (but instead of ink, it's plaster) and it moves back and forth and upwards too.
The last studio class that I'm taking is called Plastics. The course says it for itself ..... this class is the study of all materials made of plastic and what you can do with them.
In August my whole cosplay troop called Afterlife USEC (United States East Coast) debut. It was pretty awesome but that is a story for another time.
Well I'm going to get to sleep. I have been guiltted by the family to help my Aunt move from house to house. Now I'm not saying that I don't want to help out and that I don't love my family ... it's just that there is that I have school work to get out of the way and this is just zapping up time that I need.
Later all
