So as Im sure alot of you are aware.....here in QLD, Australia we have had devastating floods.
It absolutely breaks my heart to see the city and state I call home a disaster zone. 75% of the state of QLD has been declared as a disaster zone
My thoughts are with all the people who have lost their homes, possessions and to the families that have lost loved ones.
That video was just in and around the Brisbane CBD. It's so surreal.
Slideshow of the damage
On a positive note it is so good to see so many people volunteering to help those affected. I went to help with sand bagging on wednesday night for 3 hours and there were at least 70 - 100 people there and everyone was working together and in good spirits despite everything that is going on.
Right now the water has started to recede but it will be a long time before the city I love is back to normal.
If you can please donate to the QLD flood relief appeal.
Every little bit helps.
That's all I really wanted to blog about for now.
To all the QLD peeps....stay safe and keep your chin up <3

The scenes strike home for me. Houston has seen it's share of flooding, especially during hurricane season. In 2001, Tropical Storm Allison passed over our area twice, going north then south and back out into the Gulf. By the time it was done it had dropped 40 inches of rain over the area in a three day period, what was later termed a 500 year event.
My prayers are with everyone in the area.
Queensland is having such a bad run.
Was your home affected by the floods?
We have friends in Mackay,
We hope they stay safe when Cyclone yasi hits.
Will be watching the news anxiously and thinking of everyone.
