i spent today in courtroom...and i'll do the same tomorrow.
i got called into a jury group from which 12 will be chosen.
i find out tomorrow if i get chosen.
there were parts that were boring...but luckily i find other people's thoughts and opinions interesting.
i was surprised by how many couldn't presume innocence...they felt that if the defendant was arrested, they must have been guilty of something. so many sheltered people. there was also one woman who was married to a lawyer, and had writen books on law jargan. she couldn't stay because she was a linguist who understood the bullshit behind the curtain. i was also pleasantly surprised that everyone thought the legal system was flawed. most felt there was nothing that could be done to fix it...but at least everyone sees the inequities.
so, i can't say anything about the case...just that it involves murder, and pimping. should be interesting.

but this whole process has given me ideas. we should set up a questioning panel of randam people...who after chosen, get to go into a room and have lots of sex...or start a community...or both. it's interesting how a few questions can bring people of similar ideals together.
