Howdy!
A bit of an update: I'm rarely on SG these days, but I like to drop in from time to time and update and check in on things. I have had some whirlwind relocation:
As stated in previous blog entries, after 20 years in Atlanta, I moved to Indianapolis in Oct 2010. I was staying with my brother and sister-in-law in a northern suburb, and it was kind of a given that the whole family would end up in the Indy area. Then my brother got an unexpected job offer from a Government Agency and surprisingly, they placed him near our hometown in KY (where my parents were still living). So...suddenly, we are all heading back to western KY.
The whole family has been back since Sept 2011, and frankly, I'm more of a city kid, but it is nice to be near family. I'm adjusting to small-town life again, but overall it has been quite pleasant. I am currently getting all of my "about to be 40" medical check ups, and over all I'm pretty healthy.
I'm hoping to start teaching college English again in the Fall.
So, all is well, and life is good.

Kentucky seems like a nice country place to live. What matters is being close to family. It's nice to be able to see relatives often without involving a far trip. Of course some relatives I enjoy seeing only on holidays, but I'm glad that I can have dinner with my parents every weekend before they're gone. I would like to be able to spend more time with my brother and his family, who live several hours away.
