Well, I'm applying for the full-time position today at work. An odd thing occurred at work: they have been reviewing faculty files to see if we have the coursework (i.e. undergrad or grad level classes we have taken) to teach the classes assigned to us. In several cases, it was determined that people were teaching classes they were not "qualified" to teach. Bear in mind that this is strictly a bureaucratic / accreditation thing that they have to do. So, one of the English teachers apparently cannot teach English - which sucks because that teacher has taught English for 2+ years at the college. It does mean that there should be more English courses available, and whether or not they hire me full-time, I should be able to get some classes.
Of course, I'd rather they hired me full time. Socially, going out for sporadic happy hours, but I'm counting down the days til this term is over. It is really eating up all my time.
Wish me luck on the job front! And I hope to be out and about more in the future...
