There's so much going on, yet at the same time, not really much...
This weekend, I'm supposed to have a couple of shoots.
I'm going to be shooting for an event on Saturday. The magazine I work with is having it's May release party. It's going to be happening the same night as "Dracula's Ball" which should make it interesting... (to see who will show up at least)... But there's supposed to be a couple of bands there this time. (It's usually some local bands/artists.) So, the "boss" wants me there, not only as part of staff, but as a photographer to get pictures of the bands that are coming.
And also, we have a birthday in the "family". One of my friend's kids has a birthday coming up. She's going to be 2. The family wanted to do pictures but doesn't have the money for it right now. I told her I could get the pictures at her daughter's bday party and she can buy prints when she has the money to. (Who knows, if I do that, I might be able to get some of their family ~like maybe the grandparents~ to get some of the pictures too.) ... Now, granted, I have to make $100 at the print store I use, and I doubt I'll get that off one shoot for a friend's kid, especially as I know how broke they are, (and they have another baby on the way... I may be shooting him in July or August and it'll be my first newborn shoot)...
Let's see.. other things going on??
My family's gotten over the whole "house" thing. There would be benefits to it, but when t really comes down to it, how long would it be before we got bored with the whole thing anyhow... We've always been a nomadic family. So, we're back to looking at boats. We're starting to save up for it. Alan's got some side work that he want's to put the money from it towards the boat. Plus, he's talking about selling a kiln he has, his motorcycle, and his truck; (he doesn't use any of them anyway)... That would all give us a start to our savings. I'm hoping that if we save everything we can, that we may be able to get a boat by the end of the summer or in the fall. I just really don't want to do another winter here!!
Plus, in addition to all that, I'm working on a few projects of my own. I have 2 book ideas I'm slowly working on... One's a story about Captain Hook, and his side of the story. The other is a story/pictures about a year of the zombie apocalypse. I'm slowly working on both of the ideas... Plus of course, there's the photo project I want to do too. It's being kind of crazy. I just wish I could focus on one thing at a time... but then new ideas come along... Like the other day we were watching a documentary called "Lord, Protect Us from your Followers" and it got me tinking about some of the passages of the bible where Jesus was, well, less then kind. Got me thinking about a book, (or paper) pointing out that Jesus wasn't the kind of person that a lot of people think of him as being. So, now, Alan wants me to write that too...
AHHHHHH.....
Dear Divine,
Please help me get onto a boat where I feel more pleased with my living environment. Let me be blissfully in the FL Keys or other tropics area that I can love and adore and will ease my mind. Also, let me be able to focus on my many projects to be able to start working on them and eventually complete them. Let those projects be successful.
Thank you,
Regina
