We went to look at the house today. Went pretty well. She's definitely a fixer-upper, but I think we could make a go of it. We put in a bid...
Yeah, actually, Alan nearly gave me a coronary today. I'm already stressed nearly to my limit and I'm trying to be good and clam and keep going. But between school, the kids, money, worrying about Steve but not being able to say anything, and thinking I should work, but just not being able to, trying to get my photography off the ground, and all of that in the shadow of buying a house that's in a part of the country I don't want to really be in but knowing I need to compromise.
... Anyway, so earlier today, he was telling me he wanted to wait till after he gets back from Guatemala again (in early April), to put in a bid. I thought I was going to pop a gasket! To be able to get in on the tax credit, we need to have a signed contract by April 30. If we waited, we'd have less of a chance to be able to do that. It's like he's just doing some of this to push my buttons!!
Plus, we're going to need to come up with about $4000 for the down payment. That should be interesting...
But I got some great shots of my friends in the blacksmith shop... here's a couple.
