I haven't been on here as much as I used to be; part of it's cause I've been so busy, and part cause I've been so stressed. I just wanted you all to know that I am still around and still love you all. I'm not going anywhere anytime soon. I just checked and I have a membership paid up through Sept, so I'll have to find a way to keep it up. I love having a place where I can vent and it's not read my my housemates or family. I don't know what I'd do without this outlet...

I'm not sure what's going on at home. Steve and I have been starting to fight. I've given him 2 1/2 years to start acting right with the kids. We've had talks about it, Alan's talked with him, too. It's not his place to scold and reprimand them. I know he's just trying to help... And with some things I back him up and agree with him... but my problem comes in when he just keeps arguing because of his need to be right. Even once all reason to fight is gone, he keeps it up cause he just NEEDS to be right.
Well, we got into it again today. He needed long bread to make garlic bread. My older daughter offered to go to the store across the street to the store for him. He was giving her a list of what to get... and he told her a loaf of bread, she verified asking if he meant the long rolls... That turned in to a half an hour fight... (at least 1/2 hr). He needed her to call them loaves, and she was trying to explain that when you say loaf, she things of sliced bread... but he pushed the issue!
So, what the fuck is it that makes him need to be right when taking to an 11 year old. As long as she's going to get what's needed, why are you going to fight. The only thing he did was make her feel stupid... and royally piss me off.
I ended up sending him to the store himself (which took a bit of fighting too, as he was still trying to be right even once she was out of the conversation). Once he got back and started cooking, she went in the kitchen and helped him cook and everything was fine again. I think tomorrow I'm going to ask her if he apologized. Now, he's trying to kiss my ass... He's making me brownies at 1am to try to make things better. He already tried helping me with my homework, that didn't go well. Then he tried cuddling up after my long hot bath, I wasn't keen on that either. Now, he's making me brownies. LOL!
I'm just getting tired of things being the way they are. I'm ready for a major change in my life. I'm trying to make some changes, like with school and all. But I'm just tired of all the fighting, and I have no where I can go to escape it.
I actually want to work on a trailer when I get my new house... it's going to take a bit till I can, as I'll have to have extra room, but I want to make a place that's all mine!
I was going to text you over the weekend, but I smoked a lot, and got lazy. hahaha. How have you been?
I mean, I read that you're stressed... I hope you find some way to unwind. Give yourself a nice hot bubble bath with your own special bath products!! dim the lights, light some candles, put on some music!

wow that stuff about Steve...getting into it with your daughter about bread?! That's just ridiculous. But you know what, my dad's a lot like that. Granted, he's my dad so he had more of a right to argue with me about stupid shit... but he is the type of person that just NEEDS to be right, no matter who it is he's talking to...if it's a 4 year old, or a 60 year old.
anyway. it was nice of your daughter to offer to get him the bread in the first place, so that's pretty shitty.
Does Steve get angry and then act like everything's fine like that, with the snap of a finger?
My dad does that too. He used to FREAK out on me, then he'd ask me to go grab an ice cream cone with him ten seconds later.
