Well, I made it. It's reading week now, my microscope is sitting on the kitchen table of the chalet. Today was absolute perfection: frigid, but sunny and still, so as long as I kept moving the riding was good as long as my legs were good for. And breathing in the pure, cold air; feeling it freeze the moisture through your nasal passages and own your throat. That's the feeling of being alive.
Bindings are still out on warranty, but since there was a slopestyle comp in the park today I opted to yank the bindings from the Dominant and slap them onto the Dragon.
It was terribly good. I knew that riding the Domme from the park to the pipe was hard.. and riding the steeps or trying to give carved demo's showing board performance is pure agony. But switching back to my stiff, beastly-long Dragon with her monster sidecut, killer curves was bliss. She bucked me like a spirit-free bronco when I sat on her stiff tail coming out of deep, sweet soul carves; and carved deep lasting scars with equal fervour into the corduroy and the crud.
Otherwise, I think I'm going to brew up a big pot of coffee and load it up with milk and the Bailey's given to me as a V-day gift by one of my students. And try to wade my way through my email and messages on this awful 14.4 connection (I'm the worst SG ever, I'm so sorry!), followed by copious counting of cells.

Thanks!
Bindings are still out on warranty
last time I went out riding the warranty on my Switches had just run out. I cracked the shit out of those things on a particularilly hard fall on a course that I (or any living person) should not have been trying to tackle. You are seriously making me miss the whole experience though...pulled muscles, fractured bones and all
