Well. We don't really HAVE to work. There is the choice to become not necessarily a savage, but a wanderer. Living off the land, in a cottage, stuff like that. But it's our indulgences that force us to work. I wish shit was free all the time, or that we traded skills for things rather than money. That is until I buy/want something only money can buy.

Maybe if you played your drums so long/so well guiness would come and make a SCANDEL and all these odd ball people would give you money! that would pwn.

thanks and your right noone should have to work ever (you can eats all the figs though I will have some tea instead if that is ok) wink

thanks to everyone who wished bad karma on the fukker that stole my bike. I got a pretty good replacement from a neighbour who had one in their shed that they never used. now I just have to buy an extra long seat post - I hate it when your legs don't extend fully when you pedal ... and I kinda have ridiculously long legs....

Thanks! Drink to the face isn't so bad, just the fact that I had to pay $6.50 for it :p

SOMEBODY STOLE MY BIKE - curses. seriously. blarg. and I live directly across the street from a not for profit bike shop where you can buy a bike for 5 or 10 bucks or rent one for a donation of a pound of coffee. serious bummer. I use my bike a lot. ride it to work every morning ... walking to work only takes 12...

I know it's like a week later.. but thank you. Thank you.

You are beautiful.

xo.

Yeah, bikes are a huge commodity here in the Bay Area. People would far better want to steal a bike than a car or breaking into a house for t.v.s and such. Bikes get the most money the fastest, plus theres no identification numbers on it. They should start implementing those more often! I have to take two bike locks around with me because people around here will steal wheels too when they get the opportunity.

Yeah! karma probably already has ruined that guys life .. unfortunately, that probably spurns more retribution on his part instead of him learning a lesson. C'est la vie.

love love love love love

Glad to be home but I loved my time in Canada. Minus the work bit. Was in Calgary. Enjoyed that a lot.

looking for opinions on the phenomenon known as "the drop by" myself, I would never dream of knocking on someone's door unless they knew I was coming. if I just happened to be in the neighbourhood... I would call first, no matter what. BUT - the drop by is a socially acceptable thing for many. people do it all the time. but here's my problem...

I think that the drop by all depends on how well you and that person know eachother. If you are in a relationship where you must be embroiled in conversation to feel comfortable, then a drop by isn't always warranted. I always have people dropping by my house, but I never feel the need to entertain them-- they just come over and sit around and do their own thing if I'm busy. If droppers by can entertain themselves, then I think that it is acceptable. They're more like out-of-the-house roommates smile
yawl:
biggrin I don't know about "drop by", ppl don't do it here although they do wait for Christmas and wait for you to go to sleep and wake you up with noise, singing and an awful ruckus at night in front of your house and on top of that they expect food from you! We call them Parrandas, i hate em!

btw thx for the advice, I was thinking about that, never tried it before, i'll see what happens! blush
