The last electrician of the day did show yesterday, so we have one more estimate, in the same ballpark, now. He seemed like the best of the three that have actually shown up.
The one scheduled for this morning did not call or show up. Why do these people bother to schedule appointments? He even returned my initial call, to make the appointment. Then just... nothing.
The kitten is groggy from getting spayed... it ended up costing $13, because there's always a hidden cost... in this case they don't tell you that the pain medication isn't covered by the voucher. Still, $13 for the spaying is really good, can't complain too much.
What I can complain about is spending an hour on the phone this morning finding out why in the world I had a $56 overdraft fee showing up on my bank account. It made NO sense. Day by day, all the debits were covered, and I still had a balance in the account. Turns out they screwed up and didn't take a hold OFF the account when the charge actually came through, so that double-charged a $100 payment, making two more things have not enough funds free of the hold to pay them. However I got it straightened out, and now I can make the online payment I need to make.
Also something cool... Chris Lee, the photographer we met who took our picture at the gallery the other night, emailed us one of the pictures asking for permission to hang it in his show that opens this weekend. We said yes... it isn't the greatest picture of me because I have a funny look on my face, but obviously he likes it enough to use it, so he (and hopefully other people!) won't think I look as funky as I think I do in it. It's neat though, we're going to the opening Saturday, and we'll actually BE in the show!
