We were going to head to the Venice Beach drum circle today, had the drums ready to load in the car and everything, but then we considered the weather. It was far more overcast than earlier in the day, a little chilly, sure to be chillier at the ocean, and a 20% of rain. All that considered, we decided with regret to skip it this time and stay in and get some work done.
Well, first we played a 4-hour Warcraft skirmish... but hey, we wouldn't have been working while we were at the drum circle anyway, right? We're bad with the Warcraft lately though. We're getting much better, fighting tougher teams on bigger maps, for much more extended battles. Great fun, and a great way to make many hours go by! Too bad we need lots of those hours for other work.
Tomorrow we're having a couple more electricians come out to give estimates on getting our outlet and switch installed in our makeup room. The first guy on Friday quoted us a little higher than we'd hoped to do it for, not out of reach, but we hope to get a lower quote tomorrow.
Also, it looks like we're in the market for some kitten-spaying, ASAP like yesterday. Literally. Cause today, she's in heat and has a new "friend," who is almost certainly male. We've got the kitten locked in for the time being, and she's really unhappy, mewling, and even peeing on the couch. Bad no-no. I feel bad for her though-- I'm sure she doesn't understand what's happening to her either.
I looked up a list online of low-cost/free spay/neuter clinics today, and I'll be calling those tomorrow. We're not sure if we have the proper qualifications for some of them, if we qualify for the free/low-cost clinics, or if the kitten qualifies as "feral," which some of them designate, to do it for free. She's a half-wild stray who spends about half the time outdoors and won't really let anyone touch her except for Gremlin and myself, but we're not really sure how they classify that. We shall see.... wherever we can get her an appointment, as soon as possible, preferably for a reasonably low fee. Bottom line, cute as kittens are, she's barely more than one herself, and we don't need to be a) supporting another litter, or b) bringing them into the world for someone else to support.

Hi nice to see that you are still up, I am glad the califurnia thing is working out for you. I grew up there and know that personally I was not meant to be there. I play the world of warcraft every night after work, I use the Kirin Tor server becuase all of the high school buddies play there. Mostly I play my dwarf hunter Longwalk. Anyway it would be a real suprise if you were on the same server but keep in touch and maybe I'll take you shooting some time.
