Tonight we played at Coffeehaven in Long Beach. Little different crowd than Portfolio's... mostly stand-up comics. There were a few other musicians though, and that was more than accepted.
Apparently they start sign-ups in the morning, by phone. The published info we had seen about this event hadn't mentioned that. So we ended up being second-to-last to perform. It went well though, and felt good to be out playing yet again. Now we need to work up some more songs, and start becoming regulars at a few places.
Also. Any print shop that cannot do borderless printing, SUCKS. RE: Kinko's. We will be printing the studio brochures ourselves, and it will look better AND cost less than the one we got done at Kinko's tonight. $2 for a single one. I don't think so. Even with ink and paper costs, we can do far better. The brochures look great though. We're going to have very professional promotional literature for the studio.
