Finally got to sleep in today after a busy (but cool!) week. Thank goodness for sleeping late!
I guess I'm having kind of a productive day... burning a pile of DVD's to keep up with the ever-full hard drives, emptied my trash, did my vacuuming, made a little things-to-do list of a couple of things to be done by particular days this upcoming week. After burning a couple more of these DVD's, I'm heading for the gym. Already did some crunches here, and will go for a run, come back, clean up, and we're going to an Audubon Society lecture tonight, which I almost forgot about... I'd better get moving!
This week at the studio, I have Tues and Thurs scheduled again, and it is possible that on one or both days, I will get to work on my own in the mastering room, going through the complete procedure and working on sounds. I am so psyched for that! Also not sure if it'll be this week or not that I get to transfer an in-progress song from some old DA-38 tapes into their ProTools, which I can save off as .wav files and bring back to work on again on my computer. I don't know if I'll jump into the recording on that song again right away, although I just might. But if nothing else, it is much better to have it in a format I can access at will, rather than a format I don't have the equipment to work on. So, once I get the transfer done, it'll be right there to work on whenever the inspiration hits. It'd be a really great feeling not only to be back in engineering again, but to be back working on some of my original music again.
