... I just woke up from a dream about the mastering studio!
Of course the downside is that in the dream I was getting a song of mine mastered by one of the guys there (a person in the dream who had nothing to do with/no resemblance to anyone I actually know from there) and he was telling me there was something wrong with the way my files lined up, and it wasn't going to come out right. Interestingly enough, even though it was supposed to be one song, I dreamed it looking like how a whole album of songs looks on the computer screen.
At any rate, the guy told me he was doing the best he could for me, did some kind of a splice or edit in the file, and then handed me a cassette, saying something like "I can live with this." I was supposed to look at the way the cassette was wound (transparent case) and be able to judge the way the edit was done and tell him if it was ok by me. I didn't really know what I was supposed to be looking at and ended up saying it was ok without having any idea really.
Then the dream changed into something else where I was at a bar and drinking margaritas out of tall, thin glasses, and I was supposedly on the third one, but I wasn't getting drunk/buzzed at all.
Huh, nice that I'm internalizing stuff from the mastering studio enough to have a dream about it with some real details, despite some pretty weird dream details too!
I'm up too early. This is my "have to be there at" time for work and internship, and I don't have either one of them today, and I'm working on catching up my sleep (so I can probably get behind again next week...) and I am going back to bed!
