I spent all day last Sunday as Moto Guzzi's factory demo ride leader at their southern Connecticut dealer open house
Actually, it is kinda stressful leading a group of riders of unknown skill level on fast machines down twisty roads. But I'm pretty good at judging the skill of riders in my rearview mirror.
I gave them a good ride, though. The first four rides I led on my own bike because we were overbooked. After a long winter, the chickenstrips on my back tire are back down under half an inch. I wonder what the guys on the LeManses thought as I left them behind in the twisties, heeled over so far that my saddlebags were barely off the pavement.
I only saw cops twice, once just before I was about to accelerate to about 60 in a 25 zone
and the other when we were bunched up behind some stupid Lexus SUV barely going the speed limit.
I met a cool guy from corporate HQ, and sent him my resume tonight. Wish me luck!
