I've now been a licensed motorcyclist for half of my life! 
Last night I had a party at my place, Stiles and many of my closest friends came over. We cranked up the heat, cooked out on the grill, listened to Jimmy Buffett, caribbean steeldrums, zydeco and basically told Winter it wasn't invited. Anyone who came dressed for Daytona Beach got Mardi Grs beads (It is mardi gras and bike week, after all). Anyone who didn't come in costume but wanted beads had to show some skin. It was the birthday party I've always wanted to have.
Some highlights:
Stiles and my brother trekked from Philly, and some of my NYC friends pried themselves out of the city for once.
Jenn got me Mardi Gras beads with motorcycles on them!
Another friend who was born & raised in Georgia pleaded for the leftovers of my collard greens.
This could become a tradition. Next year, more girls!

I spent my last weekend in pittsburgh.... shit i'll drive anywhere... and if the weather is good i'll ride the bike!
I work at The Marine Mammal Center. It's pretty cool, mostly rescue down here. When we did it up in Sausalito we did more care and rehabilitation. Down here we just pick them up and drive them up to the hospital in Sausalito. It's still pretty cool though.
Prices are coming down out here so it might be worth coming out here. I really do like it out here better than east coast but then again I've always been a California girl at heart.
