Actually I do do something about it. Normally I try to purchase tickets directly from the source of the show. Or if that doesn't work I'll check ticketweb first, because although they too charge a fee it's not quite as large as ticketmaster's. And remember back in the 90's when Pearl Jam tried to fight them and lost? Ah that was a fun little battle but ultimately we are all doomed by big conglomeraions in America.

My preferred alternative to Tickemaster is booking and promoting my own shows in my city, non-profit, putting a lot of time and effort into giving people music without the means of Ticketmaster and ridiculous ticket prices. I feel that I've done my fair share.

And I wasn't giving you shit, it just seemed like you were stating the blatantly obvious. If I was giving you shit, I would have written a paragraph, not a tongue-in-cheek one-liner.

I personally don't give a flying fuck that ticketmaster charges for their services. You don't want to use ticketmaster? Don't go to shows at venues that only sell tickets through ticketmaster, and start a letter-writing campaign mailing complaints to the venues about their choice of using Ticketmaster.

My advice which adds to your advice... avoid stress. It will do a whole manner of nasty things to your internal bits.

There's nothing wrong with flings. Unless that's all you've been offered for 6 years running. It's about time I question what the hell I'm doing wrong.
