So, did the race. Didn't do as well as I'd hoped, but I ended up 97th out of 159 in my class (Masters). I think that I was one of only 2 single-speeds out there though. That put me in really bad position do to the long run from the start to the beginning of the mountain.
Once there... 3 hours of climbing was in store for us. Then, the race kind of began. Since you need more speed to climb effectively on a single-speed I was screwed from the start. With 1200+ people racing, I couldn't get around anyone to climb so I ended up missing the time cut-off for the long route. Thus, I think I rode 45 or so miles in the race.

Last day of school for me tomorrow (really today as we're just geting together to hang out tomorrow). Not sure what I'm going to do for work. Ideas? I'll be glad to take any good ones.
