I'm totally drained. Yesterday's blog was a very emotional one for me. I felt like certain things and people that I loved were clashing with each other. It really hurt to belivee that this was happening. The full impact of the toll it took on me only became clear today. I needed to write about it and then try to put it behind me.
Once again, my precious friends here came through for me big time with their love, understanding, compassion and support. Some on the outside looking in might say that it's not a big deal to post a supportive comment on someone's blog and then be on their way. I strongly disagree. It was obvious to me that a great deal of thought and effort went into what you all said to me. The fact that it helped so much is proof that it WAS a big deal.
Now for something light and pleasant. As I wrote the other day, i'm going to see Louisiana and her band perform at 10:30pm tonight. I'm sure i'll have a good time.
Tomorrow night, i'm having dinner with my daughter, Heather. We may eat at her house or go to a restaurant. We're also going to hang out at her place for a few hours to talk and probably watch TV.
Saturday, a friend of mine from the social group I recently joined are going to a local fair. There's supposed to be lots to see and do. We'll meet late morning and probably stay until late afternoon. We haven't discussed it, but we might go to dinner or a movie in the evening.
Sunday will be a day of rest. Besides football, i'm going to watch my White Sox. They're on life support as far as making the playoffs is concerned, but i'll be watching and rooting.
It's been a while since i've had so many plans right in a row. Maybe things are starting to look up. Also, my daughter , Ellen, told me that she's almost positive that she and the rest of the family will be coming to New York for Thanksgiving. They couldn't make it last year. It's been too long since i've seen the grandkids, so I hope nothing will happen to change their plans.
I love you all from the bottom of my heart.
