So, I took the test for census taker yesterday. Some of the questions were difficult, but I think I did pretty well overall. I'll know the results in a few weeks. They'll begin hiring based on test scores and other factors on the application. I'm not going to worry about it, since it's out of my hands now. In the meantime, I'll keep my eyes and ears open for jobs. It continues to be brutal out there for job seekers.
I'll probably be finished with the five day a week program of therapy this coming Friday. I'll be seeing a counselor once a week and still have my meds monitored. While my material situation hasn't improved, my outlook and ability to cope have improved greatly.
I'm marking two very important events at this time. I wasn't sure if I was going to mention the first one, but decided to do so, even though it already passed. This past January 20th would have been my 35th wedding anniversary. While I think of my late wife, Annette, every day, it's a little rougher for me at this time, what with our wedding anniversary and Valentine's day coming one right after the other. I'll be spending Valentine's day with Mae-Ann, it's also her birthday, but my heart won't really be in it.
On a celebratory note, it's been a year since I joined SG. I don't see how I could have made it through without the love and support of my friends on this site. Over the past year, I've discovered a beautiful new world. A world that was so off my radar even a day before I became a member. Joining SG is one of the best things I've ever done. AS I've said in the past, my joining SG would never have happened if not for the urging of my good friend Lyrical.
I'm grateful to those that helped me to not feel so out of place toward the beginning, as well as those who embraced me as their friend throughout the year. I am here for all of my friends whenever you might need me. You've helped get me through some very bad times during the past year and allowed me to share the good times as well. You've also allolwed me into your worlds, for which I am honored.
I love all of you.
